Bernie Bat Peyote Kit has everything you need to create your own beaded bat necklace using odd count Peyote stitch.
Bernie Bat is mostly purple with shiny opaque black beads for their body and wing detail. We would class the pattern as an intermediate level. However if you’re already familiar with basic Peyote stitch, we’ve included comprehensive instructions. Making that the pattern is suitable for anyone wanting to develop their beading skills. The 7 page instructions include full colour diagrams as well as broken down step by step directions. So for those who are experience beaders you can jump straight in and use the large full page pattern and skip over the full explanations. For those still learning the ropes the steps are broken down and fully explained, with handy tips along the way.
The Bernie Bat Peyote Kit has been designed to be turned into a necklace, a chain and jump rings are provided to do this. You are of course welcome to use the bat in other ways. Bernie would look great as a small art work in a bow frame.
You will need use of cutters and chain nose pliers to attach the chain, these are not included in the kit, but they are available separately.
You may also find a bead mat, bead stopper and scissors useful whilst creating this design.
