Description
Our semi-precious peridot tumblechip beads consist of irregular-shaped, pale green, transparent gemstones. The green is down to how much iron is present in the stone. So not surprisely this is found in lava flows, volcanic rock and meteorites from outer space. Many people believe the peridot stone represents strength and prosperity. Peridot is the birthstone for August.
The semi-precious peridot tumblechip beads are, consequently, sold strung on a 36 inch/90cm strand of thread. As the strand of beads are quite long, you could wear them as one long continuous necklace or doubled up for a two strand necklace. Tumblechips have always been and will probably always be a popular semi-precious bead. They’re great for all sorts of jewellery, equally good as simple jewellery, bracelets made with thin stretch magic elastic, earrings, and necklaces. Incorporated in bead embroidery they can create wonderful textures utilising their organic shape.
